Build with SonaNote.

Read transcripts from scripts, AI apps and automations. Public reading needs no key; workspace access uses a personal API token.

Chrome extension

Download and unzip the extension, then load its folder in Chrome Extensions developer mode. Open YouTube’s Show transcript panel, then click Import visible YouTube captions to create private notes. It reads the active tab only when you click.

REST API

GET https://sonanote.space/api/media/transcripts GET /api/media/transcripts/ID GET /api/media/transcripts/ID/download?format=md

Your workspace

Create a read or read-and-spend token under Connected apps in the workspace. Send it as a Bearer token. Only write tokens can start tasks.

Authorization: Bearer bn_…

GET /api/media/workspace
POST /api/media/transcribe
{ "url": "https://…", "visibility": "private" }

GET /api/media/jobs/JOB_ID
POST /api/media/transcripts/ID/ask
{ "value": "What are the key ideas?" }

MCP

The public endpoint exposes read-only get_transcript. With a workspace token it also lists your library and starts transcripts.

    "bloomnote": {
      "url": "https://sonanote.space/api/media/mcp",

  }
}

Jobs and errors

queued → processing → done / failed. 401: sign in. 403: forbidden. 402: credits exhausted. 409: concurrency limit. 413: file too large. Failed work releases its reserved credits. New API work consumes credits; check the account balance before starting.

Media tools

GET /api/media/tools POST /api/media/upload (multipart: file, tool, parameters)

Media files belong to the submitting session or account. Finished jobs expose private downloads that expire after about 90 minutes.
